The High Latitude and Cold Climate Dust Network would like to advise that the International Conference for High Latitude Dust 2017 is now open for registration and abstract submission

The conference is being held at the University of Iceland, Reykjavik from Monday 22nd May – Thursday 25th May 2017

Registration for the conference can be completed here: http://www.hlccd.org/registration/
Please note, that to qualify for earlybird registration, you must complete your registration before Friday December 9th 2016

Abstracts should be submitted whilst registering (using the online system during the registration process) or submitted by email (hlccd at lboro.ac.uk<mailto:hlccd at lboro.ac.uk>)

Abstracts should be no longer than 300 words and abstract deadline is Wednesday November 30th 2016

We are interested in recieving abstracts from a variety of disciplines including:
· Sediment supply to high latitude dust sources (glacio-fluvial suspended sediment; catastrophic flooding)
· Cold climate aeolian processes
· Magnitude, frequency and timing of high latitude dust emissions
· Remote sensing of high latitude dust (supply, transport, deposition)
· Dust in the cryosphere
· Impact of high latitude dust inputs to marine, terrestrial and freshwater environments
· Modern high latitude dust as a modern analogue for paleo-dust activity
· Palaeo-records/archives of high latitude dust
· Challenges of modelling high latitude dust
· Anthropogenic influences on high latitude dust emissions
· Human impacts of high latitude dust

All information regarding abstract submission, registration costs, key dates and the preliminary programme can be found at www.hlccd.org/conference<http://www.hlccd.org/conference>

If you require any further information, please contact Tom Mockford (hlccd at lboro.ac.uk<mailto:hlccd at lboro.ac.uk>)
